Cyber security and tech- threats to peace

Continued and and rapid technological developments enable new forms of computerized warfare, including but not limited to the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs or drones), artificial intelligence, and the militarization of space. These concerning developments emphasize the need for clarification of international laws and renewed disarmament work.

A modern conceptualization of Common Security necessarily requires reflection on how such technologies are already being used (or planned to be used) in military contexts as well as what steps need to be taken to stop this new arms race and identify the responsible role of technology to foster dialogue and peace rather than competition and destruction.
